for number 7, auto-casting does work, with a staff equiped, click on the book with just 'spell' on it and no shield, choose the spell according to your level and runes, then click on the 'spell' WITH the shield, then attack :P

EDIT: Definately increase slayer xp to the level of the monster.. i mean, i got 3.5k slayer exp for killing a Dagannoth Prime :S which is pretty sucky lol
